Mapping part category to a buyer group
This page allows you to map part category to a buyer group. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Part Category Mapping” link in the “Create Buyer Group” page.
The “Edit Part Category Mapping” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Buyer Group” group box:

The system displays the following field in the “Map Route” multiline:
Part Category |
The part category that can be procured by a buyer group. The system displays all the valid part categories that are already defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the “Part Administration” business component, that are in the “Active” status. |
Enter the following field:
Process? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether to map the part category to the buyer group. The system displays the options, “Yes” and “No”. Select “Yes”, if you wish to map the part category to the buyer group. The system sets the field blank by default. |
Note: Ensure atleast one part category is mapped to the buyer group.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the part category for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected part category.
Click the “Edit Part Category Mapping” pushbutton, to map the selected part category to the buyer group.
Mapping part category to a buyer group– An overview
This page allows you to map part category to a buyer group. A buyer group can procure only those part categories that are mapped to it. You can specify the buyer group for which you need to map the part categories. The system displays the part categories that are already defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the “Part Administration” business component. You can select part categories and map it to the specified buyer group.

You can map part categories, which are already defined in the “Create Quick Codes”” activity of the “Part Administration” business component, to a buyer group. A buyer group can only procure those part categories that are mapped to them.
Set the “Process?” field in the multiline as “Yes”, if you wish to map the corresponding part category to the selected buyer group.
Set the “Process?” field in the multiline as “No”, if you do not wish to map the part category to the selected buyer group.
Click the “Edit Part Category Mapping” pushbutton, to map the part categories to the selected buyer group.
The system maps the selected part categories to the buyer group.
