This page allows you to view the component capability details. Tell me more.
Select the “View Work Center Capability List” link in the "Select Part # / Part Group” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked task number in the multiline of the same page.
The “View Component Capability” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Work unit Details” group box:
Part # / Group |
The number identifying the part or part group. |
Component Effectivity Basis |
The effectivity basis which could be "Part No" and "Part Group”. |
Description |
The textual description of the part or part group. |
Enter the following fields if you wish to retrieve the details of work centers based on the work units belonging to the selected component. Data entry in these fields is optional:
Maintenance Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance type to which the work unit belongs. The system lists the options “Inspection” “Overhaul”, “Repair” “Engineering Order”, “Fleet Campaign Directive”, “Others”, “Engineering Order and Fleet Campaign Directive”. |
Work Unit # |
The number identifying the work unit (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work centers, to which the selected component part is associated, based on the work unit numbers that are similar to the work unit number entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve work centers, containing all the work units of the selected type and belonging to the selected component. |
Work Unit Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work unit. The system displays the options “Task”, “Standard Procedure” and “Work Package”. The system retrieves all the work centers to which the selected component part is associated, based on the work unit type selected here. The system displays “Work Package” by default. |
The system displays the following field on clicking the “Get Details” pushbutton:

The textual description of the work unit. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to display the details of the work centers associated to the component, in the multiline.
The system fills in the following fields in the multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:
Work Center # |
The number identifying the work center to which the selected component part is associated. |
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center. |
Work Center Type |
The type of the work center, which could be “Hangar”, “Bay” or “Others”. |
Work Center Category |
The category of the work center as defined in the “Create Work Center” activity. |
Authoring Org Units |
The textual description of the organizational unit to which the work center is associated. |
Viewing component capability – An overview
In this page, you can view the details of all the work centers to which the selected component part is associated. You can retrieve work center details by carrying out a search based on the work unit type or the work unit number of the selected component. The details of all the work centers, to which the selected component is associated, are displayed in the multiline. Details include the work center number, work center description, work center category and the organizational unit to which the work center belongs.
