Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This help page allows you to search and select a UOM code and transfer the same to the main page.

You can carry out the search using the UOM code or the UOM description. If both the fields are left blank, the system will display all the UOM codes available in the “Central Reference List”. The retrieves only those UOM codes that are in “Active” status. The selected UOM code will be transferred to the main page in which the help was invoked.

The “Help on UOM” page appears.

UOM Code

The code identifying the UOM to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 10) Mandatory. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM Codes that are similar to the value entered here.

UOM Description

The description of the UOM to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 80). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the UOM, whose descriptions are similar to the value entered here.

UOM Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the unit of measurement. The system lists all  "active" values defined in the “Quick Code” for the quick code type "UOM Category”.

Note: Leave the fields blank if you want to retrieve all the UOMs defined in the “Central Reference List”.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

UOM

The UOM Code.

UOM Description

The UOM Description.

UOM Category

The category of the UOM.

Fractions Allowed

The decision whether fractions are required for the UOM, as specified in the “Create UOM” activity.The system displays “Yes” or “No”.
