Using Online Help

This page allows you to retrieve the details of change requests that are already defined. You can carry out the search using the change request number, status, subject and applicability. The system displays details such as change request number, change document type, applicability and subject.

The “Help on Change Request” page appears.

Change Request #

The change request for which you wish to retrieve the details (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the change request numbers that are similar to the value entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the change requests irrespective of the change request number.

Change Doc Type

The document type of the change request, which could be “MCR” or “FCD” (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory.

Subject

The textual description of the change request (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the subject in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the change requests with description similar to the text entered here.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined status of the change request.  The system lists the following options depending on the value entered in the “Change Doc Type” field.

  • If the value entered in the “Change Doc Type” field is “MCR”, the system lists all the MCR User Statuses as defined in the “MCR” business component.

  • If the value entered in the “Change Doc Type” field is “FCD”, the system lists all the FCD User Statuses as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component.

Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve change requests irrespective of the status.

Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to specify the applicability of the change request.  The system displays the options: “Aircraft”, “Component”, and “Engine”. The system sets the field blank by default.

ATA #

The ATA chapter for which the change request is raised (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the change requests containing ATA chapter number similar to the value entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the all the change requests irrespective of the ATA chapter number.

The system fills in the following fields in the ”Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Change Doc Type

The document type of the change request, which could be “MCR” or “FCD”.

Change Request #

The change request retrieved by the system.

Applicability

The applicability of the change request.

Status

The status of the change request.

User Status

The user status of the change request.

ATA #

The ATA chapter number of the change request.

Subject

The textual description of the change request.
