In this page, you can modify the MCM decisions that are already recorded for the change requests. Tell me more.

The “Edit Mod. Committee Meeting Information” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following field in the “MCM Details” group box:

MCM #

The number identifying the Modification Committee Meeting (MCM) (Alphanumeric, 18). Mandatory. This can be a combination of characters and digits.

MCM Date

The date on which the Modification Committee Meeting is convened (Date Format). Mandatory. Ensure that the date entered here is in the format specified “Date Format” field, and is earlier than the current server date. The system displays the current server date by default.

Chair Person

The employee code or the name of the chairperson in the committee (Alphanumeric, 255). 

Members

The employee codes or names of the members in the committee (Alphanumeric, 255).

The system displays the following fields in the “Change Request Details” multiline:

Change Doc Type

The type of the change request document, which could be “MCR” or “FCD”.

Change Request #

The number identifying the change request.

Revision #

The revision number of the change request.

Subject

The description of the of the change request.

MCM Status

The status assigned to the change request document, by the MCM. The system displays ”Draft”.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to modify the user status of the change request.

Based on the type of the change request document, namely “MCR” or “FCD”, the system lists the user statuses that are defined as quick codes in the “Maintenance Change Request” or “Engineering Document” business component.

MCM Decision

Use the drop-down list box to modify the decision taken by the MCM pertaining to the change request. The system provides the options “Execute”, “Not To Execute” and “Hold”. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Reason For Non- Execution

Use the drop-down list box to modify the reasons that are already recorded for not executing the change request.

 
  • AMOC – Select this option to indicate that the proposed change request can be complied with an alternate method.

 
  • Not Applicable – Select this option to indicate that the proposed engineering change is not applicable to the fleet.

 
  • Informational – Select this option to indicate that the change request is informational in nature, and hence, need not be executed.

You must select a value in this field, if you have set the “MCM Decision” field to “Not To Execute”. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Mode of Execution

Use the drop-down list box to modify the mode in which the change request must be executed. The mode of execution can be “engineering document” or “FCD”, for the change request of type “MCR”.

If the change request is of type “FCD”, the mode of execution must always be “engineering document”.

 You must select a value in this field, if you have set the “MCM Decision” field to “Execute”. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Regulatory Authority

Use the drop-down list box to modify the regulatory authority that approved the change request. The system lists all the regulatory authority numbers defined in the “Create Regulatory Authority” activity of the “Common Masters” business component.

Approval #

The number identifying the approval document (Alphanumeric, 30).

Approved Date

The date on which the change request was approved (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered here is in the format specified “Date Format” field and is earlier than the current server date.

Comments

Any comments or remarks pertaining to the processing of the change request (Alphanumeric, 255).

File Name

The file name of the document attached to the change request (Alphanumeric, 30).

Click the “Get Related Change Requests” pushbutton to retrieve details of maintenance change requests related to the change request selected in the multiline.

The system copies the following details to the MCM processed change request:

For the change request of type “MCR”,

For the change request of type “FCD”,

Note: If the effectivity details have been modified during the evaluation of the change request, the system copies the modified effectivity details. Otherwise the effectivity details are copied from the “Create MCR” activity of the “Maintenance Change Request” business component for MCR, and from the “Create FCD” activity, for FCD.

Confirming the processing of the change request

Note: The confirmation process is a culmination process of the Change Request evaluation and subsequent processing of the same by Modification Committee. Modifying processed change request – An overview

In this page, you can modify the MCM decisions that are already recorded for the change requests. The system displays the change requests selected in the “Select Change Request” page. You can modify the user status and the decision by the MCM on whether the engineering change must be executed or not. The MCM decision is taken after an extensive cost benefit analysis and evaluation of the safety and reliability implications.

You can modify the reasons for executing or not executing the change request. You can specify whether the change request will be executed through the “EO” or “FCD”.

The regulatory authority that approved the change request, the approval document number, approval date and any comments pertaining to the processing of the change request, can be modified.

Modify processed change request

The system allows you to modify the details of the change request that is already processed by the MCM. However, the MCM status of the change request must be set as “Draft”.

Note: Once confirmed, the details of the processed change request cannot be modified.
