Entering task requirement details for FCD
In this page, you can enter the details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the FCD. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Task Information” link at the bottom of the “Create FCD” or “Edit FCD” page.
The “Edit Task Information” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the "FCD Details" group box:

The FCD for which the task details must be entered. |
Subject |
The textual description of the FCD. Zoom facility available. |
Applicability |
The applicability of the fleet campaign which could be “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”. |
Enter the following field:
Aircraft Model # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft model for which you wish to enter the task details. The system lists all the aircraft models for which the FCD is applicable. Data selection in this field is mandatory if the FCD applicability is “Aircraft” |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the standard procedure and task details that are already defined for the FCD, revision number and aircraft model combination.
Enter the following field:
Std. Procedure # |
The number identifying the standard procedure (Alphanumeric, 30). The number should have already been defined in the “Create Standard Procedure” activity of the “Maintenance Task” business component and the status should be “Active”. Mandatory. |
Help facility available. |
Note: The system copies the tasks associated to the standard procedure that you have entered in the above field into the FCD task requirement details.
The system displays the following field:

Enter the following fields in the “Task Details” multiline:
Task # |
The task required for executing the FCD (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Help facility available. |
Note: In the event of modifying the already associated task number, the system displays an error message. To delete associated tasks, check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline and click the "Delete" button.
Revision # |
The revision number of the task (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Note: The task and the revision number should have already been defined in the “Create Task” activity of the “Maintenance Task” business component, and they should be in the “Active” status. Also, the task and the revision number combination should be unique in the multiline.
The system displays the following fields on clicking the “Edit Task Details” pushbutton:

The category to which the task belongs. |
Time Unit |
The unit of measurement for the estimated time, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”. |
Est. Elapsed Time |
The total time estimated for completing the task. |
Est. Man Hrs. |
The total man-hours estimated for “skill” type resources to complete the task. |
DSC # |
The dependent system condition to which the task is associated. |
DSC Description |
The textual description of the dependent system condition. |
AMM / CMM Item # |
The Aircraft Maintenance Manual or the Component Maintenance Manual item number. |
File Name |
The name of the file that contains the task details. Help facility available. |
Base Aircraft Model # |
The base aircraft model associated to the task |
Note: Ensure that atleast one task is entered in the multiline.
Select the “View File” link at the bottom of the multiline, to view the file details.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the task for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the tasks selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Task Details” pushbutton, to update the task details for the FCD.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “View Task Description” link at the bottom of the page to view the task details for executing the FCD.
Select the “View DSC Details” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the dependent system condition to which the task is associated.
Select the “View Standard Procedure” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the standard procedure defined to carry out the maintenance activity.
Select the “View Task Card” link at the bottom of the page to view the task card created in the third party application.

Select the “View AMM Reference” link at the bottom of the page, to view the details of aircraft maintenance manual for the task.
Entering task requirement details for FCD – An overview
In this page, you can enter the details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the FCD.
You can enter the task details with respect to the aircraft model for which the FCD is applicable.
A standard procedure is a collection of tasks grouped together to carry out a specific maintenance activity. Tasks, which have to be performed to execute an FCD, can be grouped into a standard procedure. If the FCD comprises more than one task, you must enter a new standard procedure number, or refer to an existing standard procedure.
If you wish to attach an existing task to the FCD, you can specify the task number and revision number. The system lists all the other details of the task, as defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component.
The system updates the task details and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.

You can identify tasks that must be performed for carrying out the FCD.
Enter the task number and the revision number of the task in the “Task Details” multiline.
Click the “Edit Task Details” pushbutton.
Attach a standard procedure to the FCD
A standard procedure is a collection of tasks grouped together to carry out a specific maintenance activity. You can attach an existing standard procedure, or enter a new standard procedure for the FCD. If the FCD comprises more than one task, it is mandatory to specify the standard procedure number.
Enter the number identifying the standard procedure, in the “Standard Procedure #” field.
Enter the description of the standard procedure.
If the standard procedure is already defined in the “Create Standard Procedure” activity of the “Maintenance Task” business component, the system copies all the tasks, and the part and resource requirements specified for the standard procedure, to the FCD.
