Using Online Help

This page allows you to  modify the Schedule Date of the engineering document for the aircraft. Tell me more.

The “Initialize Eng. Doc. Schedules” page appears.

Note: The system ensures the following before launching the page:

Note: The "Schedule Tracked" tasks and their “Applicability Group #” are defined in “Edit Task Information” page

The system displays the following fields:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Eng Doc Details” group box for the selected Eng. Doc # and Revision # combination:

Eng. Doc #

The unique number of the engineering document selected in the main page.

Revision #

Subject

The textual description of the engineering document.

Zoom facility available.

Applicability

Indicates whether the engineering document is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”.

Source Doc. Type

The source or modification document of the engineering document.

Effective From Date

The date from which the engineering document is effective.

Schedule Type

The type of the schedule could “One-Time” or “Recurring”.

Note: If the Applicability is “Aircraft”, the system retrieves the following details in the multiline for an Eng.Doc # and Revision # combination based on the following conditions:

Note: If the Applicability is “Component” or “Engine”, the system retrieves the following multiline details for an Eng.Doc # and Revision # combination based on the following conditions:

Note: The system defaults  the existing details( if any) for the Eng. Doc # and Revision # combination in the “Eng. Document Schedule Details” multiline.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30).

Leave this field blank if the “Applicability” is “Component” or “Engine” for an Eng.Doc # and Revision # combination.

The system defaults the Aircraft Reg #  if the “Applicability” is "Aircraft" and this page is launched from “Edit Aircraft Effectivity Details” page.

Help facility available.

Note: If you use the help facility to retrieve the Aircraft Reg #, the help page will retrieve only those records that are available in the “Aircraft Effectivity details”  for the “Eng. Doc #” and “Revision #” combination. .

Component #

The component ID for the part and the serial number combination.

If the “Applicability” is either “Component” or “Engine” for an Eng. Doc # and Revision # combination, the system retrieves all the Component # available in the “Edit Part Number Effectivity” and “Edit Serial No Effectivity” page. Leave this field blank if the “Applicability” is “Aircraft” .

Help facility available

Part #

The number identifying the part for which the engineering document is applicable.

If the “Applicability” is either “Component” or “Engine” for an Eng. Doc # and Revison # combination, the system retrieves all the Part # available in the “Edit Part Number Effectivity” page. Leave this field blank if the “Applicability” is “Aircraft”.

Help facility available

Serial #

The serial number of the part for which the engineering document is applicable.

If the “Applicability” is either “Component” or “Engine” for an Eng. Doc # and Revison # combination, the system retrieves all the Serial # available in the “Edit Serial No Effectivity” page. Leave this field blank if the “Applicability” is “Aircraft” .

Help facility available

The system displays the following on selecting the Part # using the help facility:

Part Description

The description of the part.

Task #

The number identifying the task (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory.  T

If the “Applicability” is "Aircraft", the system defaults this field with the “Prog. Item Type” tasks defined as "Schedule Tracked" and mapped to the Aircraft Reg #.

If the “Applicability” is “Component/ Engine”, the system defaults this field with the “Prog. Item Type” tasks defined as "Schedule Tracked" and mapped to the Component #.

Help facility available.

Parameter

Use the drop-down list box to select the parameter for which you can enter the schedule details. The system lists the drop-down list box with the values in the following sequential order:

  • A blank value

  • Calendar

  •  Parameter code defined for "Flying Hours"

  •  Parameter code defined for "Flying Cycles"

  •  Base Parameters of “Active” status defined in the “Set Base Parameters” activity of “Aircraft” business component.

The system leaves the field blank by default or defaults with any previously saved value.

Mandatory.

Note: If the Applicability is “Aircraft” for an Eng.Doc # and Revision # combination, the system defaults the “Parameter” field with a value based on the following conditions:

Note: If the Applicability is “Component/ Engine” for an Eng.Doc # and Revision # combination, the system defaults the “Parameter” field with a value based on the following conditions:

Time Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit for the time estimated to complete the task. The system lists the options “Days”, "Weeks" , "Months", Month End", "Years" and  a blank value. The system leaves the field blank by default or defaults with any previously saved value.

Note: The system defaults a value in the Time Unit drop-down list box for the Aircraft Reg # and Task # combination or Component # and Task # combination based on the following condition:

Repeat Interval

The interval at which the Engineering document task must be repeated (Decimal). Ensure that the number entered here is positive.

Leave this field blank, if the schedule type is not “Recurring”.

The system leaves the field blank by default or defaults with any previously saved value, if available.

Note:  The system defaults a value in the Repeat Interval field for Aircraft Reg # and Task # combination or Component # and Task # combination based on the following conditions:

Initialization Date

The date on which the scheduled task must be initialized, if  you selected “Calendar” as the parameter.

Note:  The system defaults a value in the Initialization Date field for Aircraft Reg # and Task # combination or Component # and Task # combination based on the following condition:

Initialization Value

The initialization value applicable for the selected parameter . Example, if you select the Flight Hours as the parameter, you can set the initialization value as “1”.

Note: The system defaults a value in the Initialization Value field for Aircraft Reg # and Task # combination or Component # and Task # combination based on the following condition:

Next Sch. Date

The next scheduled date of the selected task.

Note: The system defaults a value in the Next Sch. Date based on the following conditions:

Next Sch. Value

The next scheduled value applicable for the selected task. Leave this field blank if you selected the Parameter as “Calendar”.

Note: The system defaults a value in the Next Sch. Value based on the following conditions:

The system displays the following in the “Eng. Document Schedule Details” multiline for the Aircraft  Reg # and Task # combination or Component # and Task # combination:

Variable Tab #

If the “Applicability” is "Aircraft" for an Eng. Doc # and Revison # combination,, the system defaults the tab number of the aircraft defined for the “Aircraft Reg #” in the “Aircraft” business component.

If the “Applicability” is “Component” or “Engine”, the Variable Tab # field value will be blank.

Current Value

This value is retrieved for parameters other than "Calendar" from the "Consumption and Range Parameter Values" page of the "Aircraft" business component.

Threshold Date

The date on which the Engineering document task must be executed in the case of one-time engineering document.

Note: The system defaults a value in the Threshold Date field based on the following conditions:

Threshold Value

The maximum number of days or hours within which, the engineering document for the consumption parameter, is to be executed.

Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.

The system ensures the following if the Applicability is “Aircraft” for an Eng.Doc # and Revision # combination:

Entering aircraft schedule details in aircraft modification plan – An overview

In this page, you can modify the Schedule Date of the engineering document for the aircraft. The system lists the aircraft for which the engineering document is applicable, in the multiline. You can modify the user status of the engineering document. The system automatically defaults the compliance date as the schedule Date on which the engineering document has to be executed against each aircraft displayed in the multiline. If you wish to execute the engineering document for the aircraft before the system-generated Schedule date, you can specify the schedule date against each aircraft.
