Help on Tools
This page allows you to retrieve the details of the tool part number for the associated resource number which you want to modify. You can carry out a search based on the organizational unit name, resource number, resource description, part number and part description.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Tools Part #” field in the main page
The “Help on Resources” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Resource Details” group box:
Resource Type |
The type of resource for which the details must be retrieved. Note that the system defaults the resource type selected in the “Edit Resource Requirements” page of the current business component. It can be “Equipment”, “Others”, “Skills” or “Tools”. |
Enter the following in the “Resource Details” group box to search for a tool part number. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Org. Unit Name |
Use the drop-down-list box to select the organizational unit in which the resource is created for which you need to know the associated part number. All the organizational units defined in the system are listed in this field. |
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a tool part number. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Resource # |
The code identifying the resource for which you want to retrieve the tool part number. (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter all or part of the resource code you are searching for. |
Resource Description |
The textual description of the resource (Alphanumeric, 150). If you know the description in full, you can enter it. Otherwise, you can provide the description partially. |
Part # |
A unique number identifying the part for which you want to retrieve the details. (Alphanumeric,40). You can enter all or part of the code you are searching for. |
Part Description |
A textual description of the part for which you want to retrieve the details (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Click the “Search” button to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:
Resource # |
The number identifying the resource. |
Resource Description |
The textual description of the resource. |
Part # |
A unique number identifying the part. |
Part Description |
The status of the change request. |
Org. Unit # |
The code identifying the organizational unit in which the resource is created. |
Org. Unit Name |
The name of the organizational unit. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the resource code.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
