Entering part effectivity details
In this page, you can specify the parts for which the change request is applicable. The system displays the part details that are already associated to the change request and revision number combination. You can add more parts or delete the existing part details.
Select the “Edit Part Effectivity” link at the bottom of the “Evaluate Change Request” page.
The “Edit Part Effectivity” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Change Request Details” group box:
Change Request # |
The change request number selected in the main page. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the change request. |
Change Doc Type |
The type of the change document, which could be “MCR” . |
User Status |
The user defined status of the change document. |
Subject |
The description of the change request. |
Note: The system displays the part effectivity details that are already defined for the change request. Else the system copies the details from “MCR” based on the applicability.
Enter the following field in the “Part Details” multiline:
Part # |
The part number for which the change request is applicable (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The part number should have already been identified in the “Maintain Maintenance Info For Part” of the “Aircraft” business component and the status of the part number must be “Active”. Ensure that the part number is unique in the multiline. Help facility available. |
Note: If you attempt to modify an already associated part number, the system displays an error message. To delete associated part number, check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline and click the "Delete" button.
The system displays the following field:

The textual description of the part. |
Note: Ensure that atleast one part number is entered in the multiline.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the part for deletion or to define the serial number effectivity details.
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the parts selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Effectivity” pushbutton to update the part effectivity details.
The status of the MCR is changed from “Confirmed” to “Processed”.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Serial No Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page, to specify the serial numbers of the part on which the change request must be executed.
Select the “View MCR Conditional Effectivity Details” link at the bottom of the page, to view the conditional effectivity details of the MCR.
Select the “View MCR Part Effectivity Details” link at the bottom of the page, to view the part effectivity details of the MCR.
