This activity provides a snapshot of the status of MCRs and Eng. Docs which are under processing. Also you can access the interface to carry out the next procedure on the document to be authorized.

The “Engineering Change Authoring Dashboard” page appears.

Search Criteria

In this section, you can enter the criteria by which you would like to perform the search and retrieve the relevant document details in the multiline.

Search On

Use the drop-down list box to specify the criteria by which you wish to search for an MCR or Eng. Doc. The system lists the following options: Subject, Eng. Doc #, Eng Doc Type, MCR #, Source Doc Type, Part #, A/C Reg #, and A/C Model #.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

 

In the box provided alongside, enter a value corresponding to the type of search criteria selected for which you want to retrieve the details. The system retrieves all the records which are applicable for the entered search criteria.

The system displays the following, under the “Eng. Change Document Status” and “Eng. Change Document Details“ multilines.

Eng. Change Document Status

In this section, you can identify at a glance the status of the retrieved documents with the help of colored buttons, and proceed to the next step that needs to be performed on the given document.

Indication of the status of the documents as follows:

  • The    button means there are Documents for which Ageing is > 10 days.

  • The  button means there are document s for which ageing is >2 and <=10 days

  •  The  button means there are document s for which ageing is <=2 days

  • The    button means non applicability

Change Doc #: Rev #

The categorization of the documents in terms of the action to be performed, for proceeding. The system displays the following:

  • MCR pending confirmation - The system lists all the MCRs which are in "Fresh" status with 'Source Doc Type' for which 'Confirmation' is set as "Required" in the 'Common Master' business component.

  • MCR Pending processing - The system lists all the MCRs which are in "Fresh" status with 'Source Doc Type' for which 'Confirmation' is set as "Not Required" in the 'Common Master' business component.  Also confirmed

  • Eng. Docs Pending Efffectivity definition - The system lists all the  Eng docs which are in “Fresh”  status, yet satisfy the following conditions:

  1. Applicability is set as "Aircraft" but 'Aircraft Effectivity' is not defined.

  2. Applicability is set as "Component" or "Engine", but 'Part Effectivity' is not defined.

  3. Applicability is set as "Component" or "Engine", ' Part Effectivity' is defined, but 'Serial Effectivity' is not defined.

  • Eng. Docs Pending Task Definition – The system lists all the Eng. Docs which are in “Fresh” status, but for which “Task Information” is not defined.

  • Eng. Docs Pending Schedule Definition - The system lists all the eng docs which are in “Fresh” status, for which the tasks are defined but the schedule for the  tasks  is not defined

  • Eng. Docs Pending Release – The system lists all the Eng. Docs which are in "Fresh" status, but satisfy the following conditions:

      1. Tasks are defined with "Program Item Type" as "Schedule Tracked" or "Non Tracked", if there is more than one non-tracked task, but the relationship is not defined for any of the non-tracked" tasks.

      2. Tasks are "Conditionally evaluated", but 'Conditional Maintenance Evaluation' details are not specified.

      3. "New Part Requirements" are created in 'Edit Part Requirements'   link,  but not Confirmed.

      4. "New Part Requirements are Confirmed, but not created in "Inventory Set up".

      5. Authoring is "Complete", but authorization status is "Pending Authorization".

      6. Authoring is "Complete" but authorization status is "Authorized" or "Authorization Not Required".

Note that the system displays the number of records under each of the categories in parenthesis.  

Subject #

The subject of the MCR / Eng. Doc.

Issue Date

The date on which the MCR / Eng Doc was issued.

Ageing (Days)

The number of days between the Current Date and the date on which the MCR / Eng Doc was created.

What Next?

Indicates further action to be performed on the MCR / Eng. Doc. This field is hyperlinked to invoke the corresponding pages to perform the necessary action, such as, confirming MCR in pending status, modifying the task details in the Eng. Docs, etc.  More..

Eng. Change Document Details

MCR # / Rev #

The number identifying the Maintenance Change Request (MCR) / The revision number of the selected MCR for which you wish to view details and carryout the next action to be performed on the document.

Eng. Doc #

The number identifying the selected engineering document number for which you wish to  view details and carryout the next action to be performed on the document.

Note that a value is displayed in this field only for “Eng Doc Pending Effectivity Definition” , “Eng Docs Pending Task Definition”, “Eng. Docs Pending Schedule Definition” and “Eng Docs Pending Release”.

Subject

The subject number of the selected MCR for which you wish to view details and carryout the next action to be performed on the document.

Click on the    icon to view a brief description of the abbreviations and color codes representing the exception details of the documents selected.

The system displays the following:

Maintenance Object :: Applicability Group

The registration number of the aircraft or part  that is associated to the Eng Doc or MCR or which you wish to view the details along with the associated applicability group.

Task #

The number identifying the task assigned for each maintenance object applicable for the selected MCR/Eng Doc  for which you wish to view the exception details.

Indicates further action to be performed on the MCR / Eng. Doc.
