Modifying flight delay codes
This page allows you to search the flight delay codes based on the delay category or status. Tell me more
Select the “Edit Flight Delay Codes” link under the “Common Master” business component.
The “Edit Flight Delay Code” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for delay codes.
Delay Category |
Use the drop down list box to specify the category of the delay code that you need to modify. The combo is loaded with all the user defined values for the “Flight Log/Occ. Rep. Attribute Type” quick code “Delay Category” in Active status. The quick codes are defined in the “Create Flight Log/Occurrence Report Attributes” page in “Common Masters” component. The values are loaded in alphabetical order. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the delay code you need to modify. The system provides the options, “Active” or “Inactive”. Leave this field blank if you to wish to retrieve the details of all delay codes irrespective of their status. The system sets the field blank by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results in the multiline.
Note: The system displays the Delay records which have been defined in the login OU based on the search criteria specified. Wild card search (*) is allowed.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:
Delay # |
The delay code retrieved by the system. |
Modify the following fields, if required:
Delay Description |
The textual description of the delay code (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the delay code. The system provides the options, “Active” or “Inactive”. The system sets the field to “Active” by default. |
Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable this delay code from future reference in other activities. |

Delay Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the delay code type. The system provides the options, ”IATA”, “ICAO” and “Other”. The system sets the field to “IATA” by default. |
Delay On |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the delay in arrival and departure. The system lists “Arrival” and “Departure”. The system sets the field to “Departure” by default. |
Reliability Analysis? |
Use the drop down list box to specify whether the delay code requires reliability analysis or not. The system lists the options “Required” and “Not Required”. The reliability analysis generates the reliability report in the “Reliability Analysis” business component. Airlines use reliability analysis for reducing the maintenance and inventory cost and for regulatory requirement. The system sets the field to “Not Required” by default. |
The system displays the following in the multiline:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the delay code. |
Created Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the delay code was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the delay code. |
Last Modified Date |
The date, in the specified date format, on which the delay code was last modified. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the delay codes for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the delay codes selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Delay Codes” pushbutton at the bottom of the page to save the modifications.
Note: The system updates the modifications. The system stores the login user name and sets the current server date as the last modified date.
