Help On Physical Inventory Plan

This page allows you to search for a physical inventory plan.

You can carry out the search using the PI plan number, the category of plan, the warehouse number, the user defined status of the plan, the name of the planner and the number of the part. The system retrieves all the PI plan numbers, which are in the “Active” status, based on the search criteria entered. On confirmation, the selected plan number is transferred to the required page.

Click the lens icon positioned next to the “PI Plan #” field.

The “Help On PI Plan” page appears.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a PI plan number:

PI Plan #	The number that identifies the PI plan you need to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the PI plans with numbers similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the PI plans in "Cancelled", "Closed" or "Short closed" status.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the PI plan you need to retrieve. The system lists "Cancelled", "Closed" and "Short closed" as options. By default, the system displays blank. The system retrieves all the PI plan of the status specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the PI plans irrespective of the status.
Plan Category	Use the drop-down list to select the category to which the PI plan belongs. The system lists all the “Active” quick codes of type “Plan Category” as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. The system sets the field blank by default.
User Status	Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined status of the PI plan. The system lists all the “Active” quick codes of type “User Status” as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. The system sets the field blank by default.
Warehouse #	Use the drop-down list box to select the warehouse for which the physical inventory plan was generated. The system lists all the “Active” warehouses defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component and mapped to the transaction type “Physical Inventory”. The system retrieves all the PI plans for the warehouse specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the PI plans irrespective of the warehouse.
WH – Zone #	The number that identifies the zone for which the PI plan was created (Alphanumeric, 10). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the PI plans in which the zone numbers are similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the PI plans irrespective of the zone number.
Part #	The number that identifies the part for which the PI plan was generated (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the PI plans in which the part numbers are similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the PI plans irrespective of the part number.
Planned By	The name of the user who planned the physical inventory (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the PI plans in which the planner name is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the PI plans irrespective of the planner name.

Note: Leave all the search fields blank, to retrieve all the PI plans in the "Cancelled", "Closed" or "Short closed" status.

Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the PI plan.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.

PI Plan #	The PI plan retrieved by the system.
Plan Description	The textual description of the PI plan.
Warehouse #	The warehouse for which the PI plan was generated.
Warehouse Description	The textual description of the warehouse.
WH –Zone #	The zone in the warehouse where the item is stored.
Zone Description	The textual description of the zone.
Plan Status	The status of the PI plan.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select a physical inventory plan number.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
