Viewing revaluation rule

This page allows you to view the revaluation rule. You can enter the number identifying the revaluation rule and the description pertaining to that to retrieve the details. The system displays the revaluation details like the revaluation type, whether Linked to Previous revaluation, revaluation option, whether to revalue Cumulative Depreciation, Depreciation book Code, basis on which the assets are revalued, revaluation percentage. The system also displays the index values if the revaluation is based on index method. The system also displays the creation details of the revaluation rule along with the modification history.

The “View Revaluation Rule” page appears.

The number identifying the revaluation rule (Alphanumeric, 20).

Rule Description

The textual description pertaining to the revaluation rule (Alphanumeric, 256).

 

Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following :

Revaluation Type

Indicates the type in which the assets are revalued which could be “Upward” or “Downward”.

Linked to Previous Revaluation

Indicates whether the revaluation rule is linked to the previous revaluation.

Revaluation Percentage

The percentage by which the assets are revalued.

Revaluation Option

Indicates the options by which the assets are revalued which could be Indexes, Percentage, By Amount or To amount.

Revalue Cumulative Depreciation

Indicates whether the cumulative depreciation of an asset can also be revalued.

Depreciation Book Code

The code identifying the depreciation book.

Revaluation Basis

The basis on which the assets are revalued which could be asset cost or revaluation cost of an asset.

Index Option

The index option adopted in revaluing the asset, which could be calendar year, age, financial year and date range.

No. of Index Years

The total number of index years.

The system displays the following fields in the “Index Values” multiline:

Year

The financial year or the calendar year, if the index option is financial year or the calendar year respectively.

Start date

The starting date if the index option is the date range.

End Date

The ending date if the index option is the date range.

Indexes

The index value for the year or the date range.

The system displays the following fields:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the revaluation rule.

Created Date

The date on which the revaluation rule was created for an asset class.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the revaluation rule.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the revaluation rule was last modified.
