This page allows you to confirm the receipt of the transferred asset in the respective finance book. Tell me more.
Select the “Confirm Transfer Receipt” link under the “Asset Disposal” business component..
The “Confirm Transfer Receipt” page appears.
Enter the following fields:
Confirmation Date |
The date on which the receipt of the asset is confirmed (Date Format). Mandatory. The date entered in this field must be before the system date and after the transfer date. This date must also be a valid date in an “Open” financial period. |
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book in which the transferred asset must be received. All the finance books that have been mapped to the login organization unit will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
Transfer Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of transfer, which could be “Inter FB Transfer” or “Asset Class Transfer”. By default the system leaves this field blank. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the transferred assets:
Asset No From |
The starting code in the range of codes identifying the assets that you want to retrieve for confirming the receipt (Alphanumeric, 18). |
To |
The ending code in the range of codes identifying the assets that you want to retrieve for confirming the receipt (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Asset Description |
The textual description of the asset that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Tag No. From |
The starting code in the range of codes identifying the asset tags for which you want to retrieve the assets (Integer). |
To |
The ending code in the range of codes identifying the asset tags for which you want to retrieve the assets (Integer). |
Tag Description |
The textual description of the asset tag (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Transfer No From |
The starting number in the range of numbers identifying the transfer of the asset (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Note: The number entered in this field must be before the number entered in the “To” field.

Source Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book from which the asset has been transferred. All the finance books that have been mapped to the login company will be available for selection in the ascending order. |

The starting date in the range of dates during which the transfer was made (Date Format). |
Note: The date entered in this field must be before the date entered in the “To” field.

Cost Center |
The code identifying the cost center that has been mapped to the “Asset Disposal Account” (Alphanumeric, 10). The cost center must have been defined in the “Create Cost Center Element” activity of the “Cost Setup” business component. |
Analysis # |
The code identifying the analysis code that has been mapped to the “Asset Disposal Account” (Alphanumeric, 10). |
Subanalysis # |
The code identifying the subanalysis code that has been mapped to the “Asset Disposal Account” (Alphanumeric, 10). |
Asset Class # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the class to which the asset and tag has been transferred. All the asset classes that have been defined in the “Create Asset Class” activity of the “Asset Type Definition” business component and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in the ascending order. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the asset information.
The system displays the following in the “Asset Information” multiline based on the search criteria entered:
Note: The system retrieves all the transfer numbers that are in the “Transfer Out” status.

The code identifying the asset. Note that when a new asset number is generated on recording asset class transfer, the system displays the new number in this field. |

Asset Class Code |
The code identifying the class to which the asset currently belongs. Note that if the asset class transfer has been recorded, this field will display the asset class to which the transfer note has been recorded. |
Depreciation Category |
The code identifying the depreciation category of the asset class. |
Asset Location Code |
The code identifying the location in which the asset is available. |
Cost Center |
The code identifying the cost center that has been mapped to the asset. |
Source Finance Book |
The code identifying the finance book from which the transfer has been made. |
Source Asset No. |
The code identifying the asset number. Note that if a new asset number is generated during transfer of asset class, the old asset number will be displayed in this field. |
Source Tag No. |
The code identifying the source asset tag. |
Tag Cost |
The cost of the asset tag that has been transferred. |
Cumulative Depreciation |
The cumulative depreciation of the asset that has been transferred. |
Tag Book Value |
The book value of the asset tag as on the date of the transfer. |
Enter the following fields in the “Asset Information” multiline:
Receiving Location Code |
The code identifying the location in which the asset is received (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. By default the system defaults the location from which the asset-tag has been transferred. |

Receiving Cost Center |
The code identifying the cost center that has been mapped to the “Asset Disposal Account” (Alphanumeric, 10). The cost center must have been defined in the “Create Cost Center Element” activity of the “Cost Setup” business component. By default the system displays the cost center to which the asset was transferred. Help facility available. |
Receiving Analysis # |
The analysis code that is mapped to the the “Asset Disposal Account” .Data entry in this field is mandatory if ‘Analysis #” is specified as the “Section Basis”. |
Receiving Sub Analysis # |
The subanalysis code that is mapped to the the “Asset Disposal Account”. |
Remarks |
Any observations pertaining to the receipt of the asset (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark an asset to confirm the receipt of the asset.
Click the “Confirm Receipt” pushbutton to confirm the receipt of the transferred asset.
Note: Receipt confirmation must be done for all the transferred assets within a transfer document.
Receipt confirmation date cannot fall on a closed financial period.
The system updates the receipt details to the transfer number and updates the status of the transfer as “Transferred”.
If the “Account Asset Transfer Receipt on” field of the “Company Parameter Setup” business component is set as “Date of Transfer”, the system updates receipt confirmation posting on actual transfer date of the transfer note.
If the “Account Asset Transfer receipt on” field of the “Company Parameter Setup” business component is set as “Date of Receipt”, the system updates receipt confirmation on the actual receipt date provided in the header.
Click the “Reject Receipt” pushbutton to reject the receipt of the transferred asset.
The system saves the details along with the transfer number and updates the status of the transfer as “Rejected”.

Select the “Accounting Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the posting details of the transfer.
Confirming the transfer receipt – An overview
You can select the finance book in which you want to receive the asset. You can also enter the date on which the receipt of the asset is confirmed.
This page allows you to search and retrieve the assets for which the receipt must be confirmed. You can carry out a search by specifying a range for the asset numbers, tag numbers and the transfer numbers that you want to retrieve. You can also search by specifying the date range during which the asset was transferred. This page also allows you to search by specifying the code identifying the finance book from which the asset has been transferred and the class to which the asset belongs. The system retrieves the information of the assets that are in the “Transferred Out” status based on the search criteria entered.
This page also allows you to enter the code identifying the location in which the asset is received and the corresponding cost center that has been mapped. On confirmation of the receipt the system updates the status as “Transferred”. You can also reject the receipt of the asset in this page. The system updates the status of the transfer as “Rejected” when the receipt of the asset is rejected.
The receipt of the asset must be confirmed in the destination finance book. You can confirm a transfer that is in the “Transfer Out” status.
Click the “Confirm Receipt” pushbutton to confirm the receipt of the asset..
The system updates the status of the transfer as “Transferred”.
You can also reject the receipt of an asset.
Click the “Reject Receipt” pushbutton to reject the receipt of the asset.
The system updates the status of the transfer as “Rejected”.
