This page allows you to define a depreciation book. Tell me more.

Note: The system retrieves the details of the depreciation book other than “Corporate” and “Tax” in the multiline.

Depreciation Book Code

A unique code identifying the depreciation book (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory.

Description

The textual description pertaining to the depreciation book code (Alphanumeric, 100).

Depreciation Below Book Value

Use the drop-down list box to select “Yes” to indicate whether below book value can be captured in the book for an asset. The options available are “Yes” and “No”.

 

The system displays “Yes” by default on launch of the page.

Note: The “Corporate” and the “Tax” book cannot have a below book value.

Effective From Date

The date from which the depreciation book is effective (Date Format). Mandatory.

Note: The effective date must be later than the date on which the Fixed Asset is installed.

The system updates the status of the book to “Active”.

The system updates login ID of the user to the created by and the system date to the created date, if the depreciation book has been created for the first time.

The system updates login ID of the user to the last modified by and the system date to the last modified date if the book is modified.

The login ID of the user who created the depreciation book.

Created Date

The date on which the depreciation book was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the depreciation book.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the depreciation book was last modified.
