This page allows you to search for and select an asset tag and transfer the same to the main page. You can carry out the search based on the finance book to which the asset transactions are posted, the code identifying the asset class, the cost center to which the asset account has been mapped, the number identifying the asset, the description pertaining to the asset, the code identifying the asset location, the description pertaining to the asset tag and the status of the asset tag.
Click the lens icon positioned along the “Tag No.” field.
The “Help on Tag” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the finance book to which the asset transactions are posted. All the finance books that have been mapped to the login company will be available for selection. The system displays the first value by default on launch of the page. |
Asset Class Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the asset class to which the asset belongs. The asset class must have been defined in the “Create Asset Class” activity of the “Asset Type Definition” business component. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Cost Center |
The code identifying the cost center to which the asset is going to be physically or logically grouped (Alphanumeric, 5). The cost center must have been defined in the “Create Cost Center/Unit” activity of “Cost Setup” business component. |
Asset No. |
The number identifying the asset (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Asset Description |
The description pertaining to the asset (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Asset Location |
The location code where the asset is to be physically located (Alphanumeric, 20). The asset location must have been defined in the “Create Asset Location” activity of the “Asset Location” business component. |
Tag Description |
The description pertaining to the asset tag (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Tag Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the asset tag to be retrieved. You can select from “All”, “Active”, “Fresh”, “Reversed”, “Marked for Retirement”and “Transferred” . The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Analysis # |
The analysis code for which the asset is created. |
Sub Analysis # |
The sub analysis code for which the asset is created. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to search for the asset tag.
The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark an asset tag for transfer.
Click “Ok” pushbutton to transfer the asset tag to the main page.
